Talk – “The County Donegal Remembered” @ Central Library, Derry

Donegal Railway Heritage Centre is delighted to announce a special live talk at the Central Library, Derry titled “The County Donegal Remembered”, by Jim McBride following the publication of the book of the same name. The talk will cover the last decade of the County Donegal Railways. Jim has been involved with railway heritage and preservation for decades, and is the Irish Editor of the “Disused Stations”.
Jim stated: “The talk will cover much of the material of the Museum’s new book which will include many new photographs which have not been published in book form or seen before. The railways which once operated across Donegal were unique, and we are delighted to be offering new material celebrating this important part of Donegal’s heritage.”
The talk will take place on Thursday 15th September, 6:30pm is open to the public to attend. The event is Free. The book will be available on the night.

Donegal Railway Heritage Centre is a registered charity and has been operating for over 25 years. The community museum is an important part of the visitor offer in the town and County, as well as creating employment for local people. Our remit is to keep the history and heritage of the County Donegal Railways alive through the running of the Museum, and the rescuing, restoration and showcasing of unique rolling stock and traction.
