The CDRRL supporters group has a membership of several hundred people with the aims of preservation and presentation of the railway heritage, and eventually the re-installation of the railway.

The Award Winning County Donegal Heritage Railway Museum’s (also known as the CDRRL) aims are to develop and promote a robust and dynamic railway heritage facility, which will be of interest across a wide section of society, but particularly to the local community. We wish to keep the history and unique heritage of the County Donegal Railways alive through the running of the Museum and the economic restoration of rolling stock and traction. We contribute to Donegal town and the wider area through being a major part of Donegal’s tourist offer, creating employment, bringing investment into the area, being an important community asset used by all, playing an important part in the cultural life of the town, and being a mecca for railway enthusiasts globally! As a charity like many heritage groups, we would not exist without the support of Members and the wider public. Members help sustain this local organisation while enjoying many outstanding benefits throughout the year.

If you would like to become a Member or donate, please either complete this and form and return it to us , or send a cheque to County Donegal Railway Restoration CLG, Tyrconnell Street, Donegal Town, Co Donegal. Please ensure you supply an email address for all future correspondence as we are working towards a paperless system where possible.
