‘Modern Modeling’ – 3D printing in Railway Modeling

The Donegal Railway Heritage Centre in partnership with the FabLab Ballyshannon bring you this fantastic event bringing the art of modeling together with the modern technology of 3D printing.

    • View displays of 3D printed models of the Donegal Town Railway Station House, Carriages and Heritage Centre Exhibits
    • Visit the Donegal Railway Heritage Museum
  • 2:30PM Talk on “Process of using 3D printing in Modeling” by Liam from the FabLab Ballyshannon
  • 3PM The Importance of 3D printing in “Preserving Railway Heritage”
  • 3:20PM Q & A for Liam & Mark
  • 3:30PM Demo of 3D printing by the FabLab Ballyshannon
  • 3:30PM – Close OPEN HOUSE

Donegal Railway Heritage Centre is a registered charity and has been operating for over 25 years. The community museum is an important part of the visitor offer in the town and County, as well as creating employment for local people. Our remit is to keep the history and heritage of the County Donegal Railways alive through the running of the Museum, and the rescuing, restoration and showcasing of unique rolling stock and traction.
