Railcar 15

The County Donegal Railway pioneered the use of diesel railcars introducing the first one in 1931. Quite sophisticated articulated units were brought in over the next few years. Railcar 15 was one of the articulated vehicles and the passenger unit of this survives here at the museum, restored after a period of dereliction following the railway’s closure in 1959.
