Donegal Railway Heritage Centre AGM and Heritage Talk
Saturday 15th August, 2pm @ Donegal Railway Heritage Centre
The DRHC will be holding their annual AGM where members can hear about our work over the last year as well as our ambitious plans for the year ahead. This will be followed directly by a talk titled “The Last Decade of the Donegal Railways” by Jim McBride. This event will also be broadcast Live on our Facebook Page; Talk start time: Approx 2:30pm

Donegal Railway Heritage Vintage Car & Tractor Run
Sunday 16th August. Registration 12noon, Start 1pm
The vintage rally will start from Donegal Livestock Mart (beside the museum) and finish at Biddy O’Barnes, where refreshment will be served. All types of cars and tractor’s welcome. Entry fee for vehicles: €20 per vehicle

Donegal Railway Art Competition Exhibition
Tuesday 18th – Sunday 23rd August, 10am-5pm each day
Check out our lovely exhibition of artwork with a Donegal Railway Connection produced by kids and adults across the Country during the Covid19 lockdown, and find out who won in each age category.

Heritage Talk: “The Donegal Railway”
Wednesday 19th August, 7pm
Mark McDaid, Chair of Donegal Railway Heritage Centre will give a talk about the history of the Donegal Railways. There will also be an update on the planned restoration of Drumboe and its future return to Donegal Station. This event will also be broadcast Live on our Facebook Page

Free Family Heritage Friday
Friday 21st August, 11am-4pm
A special Family Funday, where families can come along and learn all about the Donegal Railways. As well as tours for adults and kids, there will be free rides on our ride-on train, Thomas the Tank, as well as kids activities, etc.

Donegal Railway Heritage Centre

Donegal Railway Heritage Centre is a registered charity and has been operating for over 25 years. The community museum is an important part of the visitor offer in the town and County, as well as creating employment for local people. Our remit is to keep the history and heritage of the County Donegal Railways alive through the running of the Museum, and the rescuing, restoration and showcasing of unique rolling stock and traction.
