Donegal Railway Heritage Centre is delighted to announce that Leghowney County Market is coming to the Museum this summer, on Saturday 13th July, as part of the 60th Anniversary celebrations. Its 60 years this year since the Railway Station and the majority of the railway lines closed in 1959.
Leghowney Country Market is one of Donegal’s most famous Country Markets and over the years has grown a reputation in offering local, quality produce. Market produce includes a variety of local handicrafts like hand knitted toys and baby clothes, crochet hats, hand-made cards, hand-painted stones, and plant arrangements, as well as home baking, scones, bread, cakes, cupcakes, preserves, local honey, Fresh Seasonal Veg and fruit, free range eggs, etc.
The market will take place on Saturday 13th July, 10am-3pm, and will also include activities for children on the day. Refreshments will also be available.
